Trafford Wharf Transformation

Although the task of supplying Trafford Wharf with an energy-saving alternative to its 150w globes was relatively simple, Snapfast were honoured to have the opportunity to re-light such an impressive development.

150 Version 1 luminaires now illuminate the Wharf-side location, providing a cleaner, whiter, directional light than their predecessors.

Iconic structure such as the Lowry footbridge, the Imperial War Museum and BBC Media City already grace the former Manchester Ship Canal, transforming the area into a visual kaleidoscope of architecture, heritage, leisure and enterprise.

This regeneration project was completed in preparation for the City of Manchester’s support of the 2012 Olympics. Supporting London in specific events, as well as the wharfside being featured in the iconic torch carrying ceremony.

Savings included 17000 watts, or approximately £7500.00 of energy costs per year.
