Build Back Better

Fun little project breathing new life into an old victorian lantern.

Came in looking a bit worse for wear with a few cracked welds and bent out of shape. We knew that simply restoring the lantern may result in a recurrent failure in the future, so we took to Solidworks to come up with a more robust solution.

These were then laser cut & assembled to mirror the original design (finished result: bottom right).
